Pork yields different lean meats that are low on fat, this means that anybody can enjoy pork while having a healthy diet. These cuts of lean meat are the loin, the filet, and the tenderloin.

About cholesterol…

Pork is rich in monounsaturated fats, and is known to boost HDL (also known as good cholesterol). Higher HDL levels can contribute to lower cholesterol levels in blood and reduce the risk of buildup in arteries.

Unlike other foods, pork protein is more similar to white meats than red meats. Pork is close to 90% digestible.

How often should you eat it…

Pork, as any other protein has a recommended intake of three times per week, unless there is medical advice to the contrary.
